French Steak Tartare
Ingredients
8 oz beef tenderloin, finely chopped
1 tbsp shallots, finely chopped
1 tbsp capers, finely chopped
1 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped
1 tsp Dijon mustard
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
Salt and black pepper, to taste
1 egg yolk
Olive oil, to taste (optional)
Directions
Finely chop the beef into small cubes and place in a mixing bowl.
Mix in the shallots, capers, and parsley.
Add Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce (optional), salt, and pepper. Stir gently to combine.
Form the mixture into a patty and place on a serving plate.
Make a small indent and place the egg yolk on top.
Garnish as desired and enjoy with crusty bread or fries.
