1/4 cup unsalted butter (cut up)
1 tsp. garlic (Minced)
1/2 cup chicken broth
1/2 cup whipping cream
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (room temperature)
1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/4 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
1/4 teaspoon pepper (or to taste)
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
In a large saucepan melt butter. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
Add chicken broth and cream, heat to boiling over medium heat.
Simmer uncovered for about 3 minutes or until slightly thickened.
Whisk in Parmesan until melted and sauce is smooth.
Stir in Italian seasoning, salt, pepper and nutmeg. Simmer for a few minutes.
