Hot Buttered Rum 2
Ingredients
2 oz dark rum
1 tbsp unsalted butter (softened)
1 tbsp brown sugar (or to taste)
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
Pinch of salt
1 cup hot water
Whipped cream for topping (optional)
Cinnamon stick for garnish (optional)
Directions
Mix Ingredients: In a heatproof mug, combine softened butter, brown sugar, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, and a pinch of salt.
Add Rum: Pour in the dark rum and mix until combined.
Add Hot Water: Slowly add hot water while stirring to dissolve the butter and sugar.
Serve: Top with whipped cream if desired, and stir gently.
Garnish: Garnish with a cinnamon stick for extra flavor and presentation.
