Baked Potatoes with Garlic and Butter
Ingredients
4 potatoes
4 cloves of garlic, chopped
50 g butter, melted
50 ml vegetable oil
Salt, to taste
Oregano, to taste
Directions
Preheat your oven to 200°C (392°F).
Wash and scrub the potatoes clean.
Cut the potatoes in half lengthwise, but not all the way through, leaving them connected at the bottom.
Chop the garlic cloves finely. Insert the chopped garlic into the slits of each potato.
Cut several pieces of aluminum foil and shape them into small boats or cups.
Place each potato in a foil shape and set them on a baking sheet.
In a small bowl, combine the melted butter and vegetable oil.
Add salt and oregano to the mixture, stirring well to combine.
Drizzle the butter and oil mixture over the potatoes, making sure to get some into the slits.

Use a brush to coat the potatoes evenly with the remaining mixture.
Sprinkle additional salt over the potatoes if desired.
Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 50 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and golden brown.
Remove the potatoes from the oven and let them cool slightly.
Serve hot, directly from the foil, or transfer to a serving dish.
Add a dollop of sour cream or Greek yogurt on top for extra flavor.
