1 pound large shrimp (peeled and deveined)
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
4 cloves garlic (minced)
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
2 tablespoons fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)
Lemon wedges (for serving, optional)

Rinse the shrimp under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Season with salt and pepper.
In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté for about 1-2 minutes, or until the garlic is fragrant but not browned.
Add the seasoned shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on one side until they turn pink and opaque. Flip the shrimp and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes on the other side until fully cooked.
Once the shrimp are cooked, remove the skillet from heat and drizzle the fresh lemon juice over the shrimp. Toss to combine.
Transfer the garlic shrimp to a serving platter and garnish with chopped fresh parsley. Serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side.
