Caramel Apple Dump Cake
Ingredients
2 cans of apple pie filling
1 box of yellow cake mix
2 sticks of butter, melted (1 cup)
1/2 cup caramel sauce (like you would put on ice cream)
1/2 tsp cinnamon (optional)
1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
Whipped cream for garnish (optional)
Ice cream (optional for serving)
Directions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking pan with cooking spray.
Mix apple pie filling and cinnamon (if using) together in a bowl.
Spread an even layer of the apples on the bottom of the pan. Drizzle caramel sauce evenly over apples.
Sprinkle cake mix evenly over apples and caramel. Drizzle melted butter evenly over cake mix. Sprinkle evenly with chopped nuts (optional).
Bake in the preheated oven until cake is golden brown and the apple filling is bubbling through to the top, 45 to 50 minutes. Let cool at least 15 minutes.
Serve warm or at room temperature with ice cream, additional caramel sauce, or whipped cream.
