2 – 4 beef steaks – any cut suitable for grilling
1 cup beer
1 Tbls. packed brown sugar
1 tsp. seasoned salt
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1/4 tsp. monosodium glutamate (MSG) OR un-flavored meat tenderizer
Place steaks in a shallow pan, pour beer over, and marinate for 1 hour in the refrigerator.
Remove steaks from beer; discard beer.
Combine remaining ingredients and rub evenly over steaks.
Marinate steaks for 1/2 hour in the refrigerator.
Grill steaks over a medium-high flame until desired doneness.
1 clove garlic – peeled
12 oz. can OR bottle of flat beer
3 Tbls. all-purpose flour
3/4 tsp. black pepper
1 splash Tabasco® sauce
1 pinch salt
1 dash ground mustard seed
1 lb. aged cheddar cheese – cubed OR shredded
1 loaf French bread – cubed
Rub garlic clove over the inside surface of a fondue pot; mince garlic clove; set both aside.
In a saucepan, stir together a small amount of beer and flour; once a paste has formed, stir in remaining beer and all other ingredients, except cheese. Over medium heat, heat mixture through. Slowly add cheese, stirring as you add it to the pan, until all cheese has melted. Transfer contents of pot to a fondue pot.
Serve with French bread cubes to dip in cheese.
2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
1 (1 ounce) package ranch dressing mix
2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
1/3 cup beer
In a medium bowl, combine cream cheese and dressing mix. Stir in Cheddar cheese, and then beer. The mixture will appear mushy. Cover bowl, and refrigerate for at least 3 hours, overnight if possible.
2 quarts peanut oil for frying
10 ounces orange marmalade
3 tablespoons prepared horseradish
3 tablespoons prepared mustard
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon curry powder
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/3 cup beer
1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined with tails attached
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
8 ounces unsweetened flaked coconut (6 ounce) cans crab meat, drained
1/2 (16 ounce) jar processed cheese spread
1 pound butter, softened
20 slices white bread
2 cups sesame seeds
Melt cheese and 8 ounces butter or margarine in a double boiler. Cool and stir in crabmeat. Stir until spreadable. (Butter and cheese will separate, but will blend after stirring).
Cut crusts off of the bread slices and roll each piece of bread flat with rolling pin. Spread crab mixture onto each flattened bread slice. Roll the bread up around the crab spread.
In a medium size sauce pan, melt the remaining 8 ounces butter or margarine. Dip rolls in it and then roll in sesame seeds. Place seam sides down in a shallow baking dish or cookie sheet and freeze. After rolls are frozen, cover with foil.
When ready to serve, partially thaw the roll ups, and cut each roll into fourths. Broil the roll ups until browned, about 3 to 5 minutes.
