Ingredients

1 cup brown rice
2½ cups water

Directions

Place the rice and the water into a saucepan over medium-high heat. Bring to the boil and cook for about 25 minutes.

Tip the rice out into a sieve to strain out all excess water. Place the rice back into the warm pot. Cover and allow to sit for 10 minutes.

If using for fried rice, chill the rice in the fridge before using.
