Italian Sandwich Sliders

Ingredients

12 Hawaiian rolls
1/2 pound sliced Genoa salami
1/2 pound sliced pepperoni
1/2 pound sliced provolone
1/3 cup sliced banana peppers (mild or hot)
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
1 pinch each of salt and pepper
Red pepper flakes (optional)

Directions

Preheat the oven to 350F. Line a 9 by 13-inch pan with foil and spray the bottom with cooking spray.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the olive oil, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, Worcestershire, salt & pepper, and red pepper flakes if using. Set aside.

Without pulling the rolls apart, slice them in half horizontally. Place the bottom half of rolls in the prepared pan.

Layer 1/2 of the Genoa salami and 1/2 of the pepperoni the bottom halves of the rolls. Layer half of the cheese next, then the rest of the Genoa salami, and pepperoni.

Place the banana peppers in an even layer on the last layer of meat followed by the other half of the cheese.

Place the tops of the rolls onto the sliders. Spread the olive oil mixture on top of the rolls.

In a small bowl, combine the oil and seasoning. Brush the top of the bread rolls with the seasoned oil.

Cover the rolls with foil and bake until they’re warm throughout and the cheese is melted, about 20 minutes, removing the foil during the last 5 minutes.

Serve warm.
