Bombay Rice With Shrimp

Ingredients

1 cup Basmati Rice
1 pound Shrimp, Peeled And Deveined
2 tablespoon Vegetable Oil
1 Onion, Finely Chopped
3 cloves Cloves Garlic, Minced
1 inch Ginger, Grated
1 teaspoon Turmeric
1 teaspoon Cumin
1 teaspoon Coriander
Salt To Taste
Fresh Cilantro For Garnish
Raita Or Chutney For Serving

Directions

Rinse basmati rice until the water runs clear, then soak for 30 minutes.

Heat oil in a pan and sauté onions, garlic, and ginger until fragrant.

Add spices like turmeric, cumin, and coriander, and cook for a minute.

Add shrimp and cook until they turn pink and opaque.

Drain the soaked rice and add it to the pan, stirring to coat it with the spices.

Add water, bring to a boil, then reduce heat and cover the pan.

Simmer for about 15-20 minutes until the rice is cooked and fluffy.

Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve with raita or chutney.
