Bee Sting Chicken Wings

Ingredients

2 lb chicken wings or boneless breast, cleaned and prepared
1 c buttermilk
2 c flour (does not matter if all-purpose or self-rising)
2 Tbsp garlic powder
2 tsp pepper
1 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
1 tsp chipotle pepper powder (optional)
oil for frying

BEE STING SAUCE:
1 stick butter
1 1/2 c Franks Red Hot or whatever hot sauce you use
1/2 c honey (more if you want it sweeter)
1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
3 Tbsp garlic puree or super fine minced garlic (yes Tbsp I said it is garlicky, less if you want less)
2 tsp mustard powder (or 1 tsp yellow mustard)

Directions

The best thing about this recipe for the sauce is it is that you can tweak the amounts until you get it the way you like it best! And, baste for the chicken and chops on the grill!

Clean and prepare chicken place in bowl and pour buttermilk over it. Set aside.

In a separate bowl or gallon size Ziploc bag, mix flour and all dry ingredients together. Set aside.

In a sauce pan melt the butter. When the butter has melted, add all other ingredients and bring to a low boil. Reduce heat to low and let simmer while you make your chicken.

Heat enough oil in a deep skillet, pan or deep fryer (whatever you use to fry in). Get heat up to 350-375 degrees.
While oil is heating up add all the chicken to the flour mix, shaking buttermilk off as you add it to the dry mix.
